In the flurry of New Year’s resolutions and lifestyle changes, 2013 has come in with a rush for most of us – myself included. After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, we all tend to take stock of the past year and look ahead to what lies in the next 12 months. It has been a Martin family tradition for years that we spend some time on New Year’s Eve to reflect and look forward to the what the next year will offer – or what crazy, big, audacious goals you want to make happen.
In the hopes of setting goals (I don’t typically make resolutions), there are a few changes you’ll see around here:
- More blog posts! Yes, you read that right, even though the last three blog posts here say that “I’m coming back to the blog…eventually.” “Eventually” is here.
- A new name: Amy Liz Kugler. I’m known as @AmyLizMartin on Twitter and every other social media property, but I’d also like to carve out a space on the web for me and my new married name. After all, I went from a name that everyone could pronounce to a name that everyone gets incorrect – might as well celebrate that, right?
- The website is also getting a bit of a makeover in due time. With a new name and a new website URL comes a fresh look, and I think its about time that I have a way to continue honing my abilities as a storyteller. You’ll be the first to hear about it as I make progress. After all, I am coding the site from scratch (let’s call that goal #4).
